The German-British Society (Deutsch-Britische Gesellschaft, DBG) was founded in 1977. We are a non-profit organisation with our goal being to encourage people to become involved in all aspects of the English language and culture with conversation groups forming the main emphasis. We offer a number of evening conversation-courses both in Neu-Ehrenfeld and in the Südstadt as well as "Talking Point", our online conversation group. The leaders of the conversation sessions are native speakers.
We offer the following activities ...
- Regular Conversation-evenings covering current topics discussed in English ... often followed by a visit to the pub.
- Cultural events including literature, art, film, museum and theatre visits.
- Social meetings and events.
And, of course, we are always open for new ideas for trips and activities.
